The Thailand launch of MG IM5is considered a leap for MG in expanding its premium EV product portfolio. This EV presents an exemplary driving experience reflecting“I AM WHO I AM” axiom through three cores of ELEGANCE– unique, outstanding design language to represent one’s true identity, ELECTRIC– a new level of driving pleasure, and ENTELLIGENT – a combination of Intelligent and Entertainment to enhance comfort along the way.
MG IM5 shines with its sport coupe sedan design with swift bodylines to catch the attention. Its entire greenhouse uses a dual layer Acoustic Glass to effectively reduce outside noises. 20 inches alloy wheels
also accentuate sportiness.The cabin is neatly designed with the inclusion of Intelligent Immersive Touch Screens which is a combination of a 26.3 inches digital display and a 10.5 inches central touchscreen, POPO Sofa seat design plus ventilation system for comfort, 7.1.4 Spatial Audio System with 20 speakers, and a large loading compartment at the back of the car.
In addition to its eye-catching design, MG IM5also packs a punch in performance with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor and rear-wheel drive setup. Its peak output is 407 PS with a peak torque
of 500 Nm. IM Digital Chassis is in use to increase driving precision and control while a 100 kWh EV battery co-engineered by CATL ensure a high estimated range per charge up to 860 km (under NEDC). It supports 800V quick charge and 396 kW of DC charging, meaning it will take only 18 minutes* from10% to80%of battery capacity.Heat dissipation system is also enhanced to maximize battery confidence especially during long trips.

Another key highlight for MG IM5 is the introduction of latest intelligent technologies with driving convenience especially the introduction of Autonomous Level2 system and MG’s Intelligent Four-Wheel Steering Systemto increase driving agility with a low turning range of 4.99 m.At low speed, the system will make sure front and back wheels are accelerating in the opposite direction to lower turning radius and make the car easier to control during U-turns. All four wheels will accelerate in the same direction at high speed to increase traction and balance in comparison with other models in the same category. Other notable assistant systems include One Touch iADparking assistant for narrow spaces, One Touch Reverse to automatically drive the car reverse for up to 100 m, Carb Modeto assist the driver upon taking the car out of narrow spaces, Intelligent Rainy Night Modeto enhance driver’s visibility using central display, and Pet Modeso furry friends can sit inside the cabin with air conditioning on even when the car is locked. i-SMART operating system is now enhanced to a new level so smartphones can be used to remotely control key functions of the car.
